There’s a lot of value in play, in exploring and experimentation. Inktober is a sort of yearly online festival that gives artists and illustrators a public invitation to draw one composition each day for the month of October. These illustrations presented here are the result of my Inktober explorations.

Moses and Joshua encounter God in mystery: a burning bush; a stranger with a drawn sword. This cover design attempts to capture some of that wonder and awe.

I was commissioned to create a series of posters celebrating South Dakota’s contributions to, and memorable events of, the Golden Age of Baseball. The goal was to create a unified set of posters (24 x 36″) that would invite the viewer to explore events and teams in South Dakota’s rich but often forgotten baseball history. […]

Three Trees Workshop creates beautiful wooden objects for the home, and we love helping to tell their story.

Each element of the Sanford Pentagon design was chosen to help viewers connect with basketball's rich history, both in South Dakota and around the world. We worked with the Sanford team to develop the hanging felt banners, the four large murals on the entrance ramps and sponsor signs to be displayed in the Heritage Court that supported and enriched the connection to basketball's history.

Sooo Falls Juggle is a local community organization that encourages people to learn and practice juggling. These are examples of promotional posters and social media posts.

For the main lobby of the new Sanford Heart Hospital, five unique floor tiles were needed, each one illustrating one of the hospital's five core values. Our designs were then etched in bronze to create the pieces shown here.

The Sanford Fieldhouse is a training facility used by athletes of all levels, from middle school to professional athletes. Our task was to create a set of pieces that would inspire and encourage athletes to push through the many and varied reasons that a person might find not to train.

A combination of photographic backgrounds and etched plexiglass, our goal was to create a display that would be interesting and informative from a distance and up close, and compelling both during the day and at night.

A poster for our 4-year-old's room, because 1) little boys like swords, and 2) we all need reminding about the power of our words.

Heart Not Hype is written as a 7-day guide for someone who is starting their journey in Christian life. Our goal in the design was to enhance and support the text without distracting from it.
