For what he felt would be one of his defining exhibitions, the “Axum” exhibit, Eyob Mergia commissioned us to create several pieces, including direct mail postcards, and posters to promote the open house event and a brochure, explanatory materials and signage for the exhibit itself. As we developed the copy for the brochure and informational materials, we researched the historical context of the themes that Eyob explored in his exhibit in order to help the audience better understand and connect with his work. We also photographed the exhibit in the gallery, as well as the gallery opening and reception (pictured above.)
